Q: Do you photograph people? There are a lot of animals on this site but I don't see people.
A: Absolutely!! You will find some of the people photos on my facebook page. I offer senior photos and family portraits in addition to pet photography. I just tend to cater to the four leggers more.
Q: Where do the shoots take place?
A: I firmly believe that our pets are at their best in their home or in a wonderful outside location to get their senses tingling. I have numerous dog friendly, photogenic locations we can choose from if you can't quite decide where to go. For cats, they tend to do best at home, in familiar surroundings.
Q: My dog can be a bit hyper and spastic, is this a problem?
A: Not at all. We want to capture who your pet is, so if hyper is his middle name then we'll work with it. However, if your dog is extremely human aggressive we'll have to deal with this on a case by case basis.
Q: My dog/cat has other brothers and sisters, can I include more then one?
A: Sure! I'm happy to meet the whole clan and capture some wonderful 'sibling' moments. It is a bit more of a challenge to persuade everyone to cooperate so additional time may be needed on multi pet sessions.
Q: I don't really want the leash in my photo but I don't know any off leash areas/my dog has selective hearing off leash/hasn't learned to 'come' yet.
A: That's ok! I can remove the leash in post processing. When you choose your photos for print I'll edit it out and you won't even tell it was there.
Q: Do you even shoot in the winter?
A: Yep. I don't know about your dogs but mine love the snow and it's such a beautiful backdrop, why miss out?
Q: Uh oh, it's storming/other inclement icky weather the day of our shoot?
A: After grumbling at the offending weather I'll give you a call so we can get your shoot rescheduled. I'm usually up for almost any weather but if your dogs are anything like mine rain makes them do their best 'abused drowned rat' impressions.
Q. What happens leading up to the session?
A. Well we chat a bit, I send you a questionnaire to learn more about your pet(s), yourself, and your expectations. If needed we schedule a short 'meet and greet' (encouraged with a skiddish pet). I'll send a confirmation the day before the shoot with a reminder of the date, location, and time. Then I'll meet you and your pets for a fun shoot!
Q: Once we've had this awesome shoot, how long will it take to get our products back?
A: After the shoot we'll schedule a time (generally two to three weeks out from the time of the shoot) to have the session premier at your home or other agreed upon location. I'll reveal your photos and help you sort through your favorites, and then I'll help you decide what products fit your vision. If you order canvases or other printed products it takes between 2-3 weeks for your products to arrive to me and then I hand deliver them to you to ensure they arrive safely and that you're pleased with your items.
